From the collaboration between the designer Oiva Toikka and Magis Me Too is born the rocking bird DODO. Since 1973 the designer Oiva Toikka has been planning new products for the famous "birdie collection" of Iittala. Perfect to furnish your children's room or your garden/terrace. In fact DODO is made of routational-moulded polyethyelene, a strong material studied to be perfect for outdoor use. It measurements are: L.41,5 P.86 H.65,5 cm and the seat is 35 cm tall.

Established in 1976 by Eugenio Perazza, Magis an Italian company of Design, that over years has become an important pillar in the furniture industry. The most important values, which characterize Magis’ philosophy are the constant attention to the highest quality standard and to the technological research of the materials: in fact Magis has been the first company on the world, that has used the “rotational-moulded technique for the creation of its products. Over the years Magis had become really famous and successful and for this reason it has decided to create a new collection, named Magis Me Too. With this collection, Magis wanted to transfer its distinctive values and vision also in the childhood’s field. Fantasy, color and fun are the most important characteristics of this new set, which focuses on the pedagogical aspect of each product. All these in safety, marked Magis.

Oiva Toikka is a finnish desginer born in Viipuri in 1931 and renowned for his designs glassware for Iittala, the Finnish design company. At the beginning of his career, Oiva Toikka trained in ceramics and he started to create glass objects later in life. Toikka became famous in 1973 by creating the Iittala “Glass birds” series. But Toikka enjoyed success also in other fields: as a matter of fact he has worked also as stage and costume designer, collaborating with Lisbeth Landefort und with the Finnish National Opera. His works are characterized by Toikka’s attempt to look beyond his own era, but he has instead harkened back to an earlier aesthetic. Toikaa himself said that Baroque is the exact word to describe his works, since it’s original meaning is “ irregular pearl”.
