ANN DEMEULEMEESTER
Born in Belgium in 1959, Ann Demeulemeester is a successful fashion designer who founded her own brand in 1981, based on a minimalist and androgynous style. Suffocated by the frenetic pace of the fashion industry, in 2013 she left her maison and changed her professional orientation by creating tableware, cutlery and lamps for the Belgian brand Serax, inspired by chiaroscuro effects and light games with a prevalence of black and white, sometimes illuminated by a touch of red.
