Michele De Lucchi was born in Ferrara in 1951. After studying architecture in Florence, he became part of architecture movements tending to experimentation and innovation. This interest for progress in his field has never left him and it was soon channelled into projects for several large companies such as Siemens, Philips and Compaq in the informatics domain, as well as for Deutsche Bahn, Telecom and ENEL (Italy’s first power supplier) in terms of renovation of interiors. For the Italian design giant Alessi, Michele De Lucchi has realised the very well known coffee pot Pulcina, which soon became an international household name by Alessi.
