Founded in 2001, ELEMENTAL is a Do Tank composed of a group of architects and designers and directed by Alejandro Aravena with the collaboration of Gonzalo Arteaga, Juan Cerda, Victor Oddó and Diego Torres. Alejandro Aravena, graduated in architecture at the Catholic University of Chile, from 2000 to 2005 also teaches at the University of Harvard, where he meets Andrés Iacobelli with whom he founded the group ELEMENTAL. The group deals with numerous projects ranging from private residences to buildings, from public spaces to design objects, such as outdoor lamps "O" designed for the brand Artemide. Their impartial approach is based on a participatory design process, working closely with the public and end users.
